Accuracy drills work when they attack the measured leak.

Searched as "pitching drills for accuracy". Here is what the phrase actually means, what the video shows, and how a measured report ends the argument.

What it looks like

What is actually happening

Most accuracy drills fail because they train aiming, and aiming is the enemy of a loose arm. The drills that transfer constrain the task so the body solves it: land the stride on a line, hit a shrinking target, finish in balance. They work even better when you know which measurement is leaking, because a wandering release point and a wandering stride need different work.

What we measure to find it

Every measurement comes from computer vision body tracking on one phone video, 33 landmarks on every frame, the same class of kinematic analysis professional organizations run on their players. Estimates are labeled EST, and no ball speed numbers are invented.

Drills that help

Stride to the line

Repeatable direction before anything else. Ten strides on the line earn ten throws.

Balance finish

Hold the follow-through for a full second on every bullpen pitch. Falling off the mound and command do not coexist.

Shrinking target

Move from glove to glove-half to sock only on made strikes. The constraint does the coaching.

Drills are constraints, not lectures: set the task and let the player's body solve it. They work best aimed at the measured leak, which is the point of measuring first.

Stop guessing. Measure it.
